President Dr. Arif Alvi Approves Four Important Bills

President Dr Arif Alvi approved Islamabad High Court Amendment Bill 2020, Islamabad Waqf Properties Bill 2020, Pakistan Medical Commission Bill 2020 and Pakistan Medical Tribunal Bill 2020.

According to a statement issued from the media wing of the Presidency on Tuesday, President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the Islamabad High Court Amendment Bill 2020. Under the bill, the number of Islamabad High Court judges will increase from six to nine.

President Dr Arif Alvi has also approved Islamabad Waqf Properties Bill 2020. Under this bill, steps will be taken for better management of dedicated properties in Islamabad areas.

In addition, President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the Pakistan Medical Commission Bill 2020. The bill would help regulate the medical sector and implement uniform standards in medical education.

The institute will improve the quality of training and educational qualifications in the field of medicine and dentistry. Meanwhile, the President also approved the Pakistan Medical Tribunal Bill 2020.

A special judicial tribunal will be set up under the bill. The Special Judicial Tribunal will expedite disputes in the medical and health sectors.
