The National Assembly today passed a unanimous resolution against the publication of blasphemous sketches in France.

According to details, a unanimous resolution has been tabled by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the National Assembly against the publication of blasphemous sketches in France in which the government and the opposition have agreed on a resolution against blasphemous sketches.

A unanimous resolution against the publication of blasphemous sketches in France has called for a day to be observed on March 15 against Islamophobia. However, after the resolution was passed, the slogan of Takbir resonated in the assembly hall.

The resolution passed condemned that the act of French president to come in support of these sketches, the government has been asked to recall the Pakistani ambassador from France.

The resolution further called on OIC countries to boycott French products and convene an OIC meeting on Islamophobia.

A number of videos have been posted on social media sites showing businessmen from other countries, including Kuwait, Jordan and Qatar, removing French products from their stores and vowing not to resell them. The trend of boycotting French products has been on the rise in Pakistan for the past 48 hours.
