PIA Lays off Employees With Daily Wage Of More Than Rs 250

The financial difficulties of PIA have increased due to which PIA has laid off employees with a daily wage of more than Rs 250.

According to the details, PIA is in severe financial difficulties due to Coronavirus and that is why daily employees have been laid off.

The daily wage employees fired by PIA belong to the subsidiary company SpeedEx, including engineering, admin.

On the other hand, the management is considering laying off employees with daily wages ranging from Rs 2,500 to Rs 5, while the PIA management has already decided to close the courier company SpeedEx.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested the former managing director (MD) and former director of Human Resources (HR) of National Airlines (PIA) for allegedly hiring a Pakistani-American citizen in a senior position in the airline.

According to the FIA, the former MD violated the relevant rules of the airline and hired a foreign Pakistani at an attractive salary.

Deputy Director FIA Abdul Rauf Sheikh said that the FIA Corporate Crime Circle arrested former PIA MD Ijaz Haroon and former director HR Hanif Pathan on charges of illegal appointment.
