The stage collapsed during the PML-N’s protest against the arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.
According to details, a protest was staged by PML-N in Regal Chowk area of Lahore against the arrest of former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the president of PML-N, where party leaders used a wooden truck to address the protesters.
When PML-N leader and former railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique was delivering a speech, the wooden stage built in the truck fell down.
It was reported that a large number of people were present to take part in the protest, while Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Mashhood and other PML-N leaders were also present on the stage at the time.
Addressing the protestors, former Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the opposition was being cornered.
We sacrificed our lives for democracy, he added.
He said that Nawaz Sharif laid the foundation of modern Pakistan when there was no way out, the opposition parties formed a PDM, the government did not make a single plan for the people, while those who serve the country are being defamed.
False cases have been made against us, today there is chaos all over the country, the entire opposition is facing political victimization.
