Romanian band, Akcent has congratulated former Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DGISPR) Asif Ghafoor over his promotion to the rank of lieutenant general.
The vocalist, Adrian Sina, took to his Twitter and shared a picture of when he had met Lt Gen Ghafoor and enjoyed tea with him.
Akcent lauded the Pakistan Army official.
“Congratulations to you my friend for being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General @peaceforchange,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I can’t wait to have the Fantastic cup of tea again,” Akcent added.

Former spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, Asif Ghafoor was among the six major-generals who were promoted by the Pakistan Army to the rank of lieutenant general, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistan Army on Wednesday announced the promotion of several officers, six officers, from Major Generals to the Lieutenant-General rank.
According to ISPR, the media wing of the military, those promoted include MG Akhtar Nawaz Satti, MG Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, MG Asif Ghafoor, MG Salman Fayyaz Ghani, MG Sarfraz Ali, MG Muhammad Ali.
Pakistan Army later announced new postings and appointments of senior military officials who were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-General.
Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz has been appointed as Commander Lahore Corps,
Lieutenant General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf has been appointed as Commander Multan Corps,
Lieutenant General Muhammad Nadeem Ahmed Anjum has been appointed as Commander Karachi Corps,
Lieutenant General Khalid Zia has been appointed as Commander Bahawalpur Corps,
Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali has been appointed as Commander Southern Command
Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali has been appointed as Commander Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).
Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan posted as Inspector General Arms,
Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Adnan posted as Inspector General Training and Evaluation,
Lieutenant General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat posted as Military Secretary
Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor, Inspector General Communication & Information Technology.
