Pakistan military is the first foreign military to receive vaccine assistance from People’s Liberation Army of China, said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
In a statement, the media wing of Pakistan Military said that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), People’s Republic of China has donated COVID-19 vaccine for Pakistan Armed Forces.
“Pakistan military is the first foreign military to receive vaccine assistance from People’s Liberation Army of China.” ISPR said in a statement.
However, keeping with the Pakistan Armed Forces’ traditional spirit of ‘ nation comes first, always and every time’ it has been decided to contribute complete vaccine donation, by PLA to Pakistan military, in the National vaccine drive to be administered to front line healthcare workers across Pakistan who are real heroes fighting against pandemic and Saving precious lives.
Pakistan’s Armed forces extend their deepest gratitude to PLA and People’s Republic of China for this magnanimous donation during testing times.
Pakistan Coronavirus Cases:
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) said that the COVID-19 has claimed 59 more lives and 1,037 fresh infections were reported in a single day.
In the past 24 hours, as many as 1,260 patients have recovered from the virus in a day and 1,828 patients are still in critical condition.
The total count of active cases is 31,983 and positivity rate stands at 3.22 per cent.
NCOC said that with fresh inclusion of the infections in the country the national tally of cases now currently stands at 555,511.
A total of 32,149 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 511,502 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 8,224,869 samples have been tested thus far.
