PAK VS SA: Green Shirt’s limited over squad leaves for SA

The national squad of the Pakistan team has been left for South Africa for the limited-overs series.

As per reports, Pakistan will play three one-day internationals and four T20 internationals against Proteas from 2nd April to 14 April.

The 34-member squad including 21 players and 13 officials, the national squad was cleared to fly for South Africa after completing covid-19 testing.

Batsman Saud Shakeel was also a part of the squad was ruled out of the ODI series because he is suffering from a quadriceps tear in his left leg during Wednesday’s practice match in Lahore.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in touch with the team management and has substituted Saud Shakeel with Asif Ali.

As Saud is also part of the two-Test squad against Zimbabwe, he will now sit back at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) to complete his recovery. If he recovers fitness in time, then he will travel to Harare on 12 April along with the other 10 members of the Test side.
