Actress Rhea Chakraborty and 32 others have been named in a chargesheet by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
The chargesheet has been filed before a special court in Mumbai in wake of actor Sushant Sindh Rajput’s suicide last year. Statements have been recorded in a document of nearly 12,000 pages.
Statements of more than 200 witnesses have been mentioned.
According to details, Rhea Chakraborty has been accused to being a part of a “drug syndicate”. The charge sheet claimed that she was involved in a conspiracy to promote and supply drugs.
Rhea’s brother Showik has also been named in the sheet. According to the international news agency, those mentioned in the case include Kshitij Prasad, former executive producer of Dharmatic Entertainment; Deepesh Sawant, a member of Sushant Singh’s domestic staff; suspected drug dealers Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar and Samuel Miranda. Eight of these people are in judicial custody whereas others including Rhea and her brother are not in jail.
