At least 14 people left wounded on Tuesday after a strong blast rocked Balochistan’s Hub city during a local football match.
According to the details, the hand grenade explosion occurred at a football ground situated near Hub Chowki Allah Town.
The injured were immediately rushed to the Hub Civil Hospital for medical aid.
According to police, a bomb disposal squad had arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
An initial probe shows that a remote-controlled device was used to blast the explosive in the football stadium, police added.
However, further inquiry is underway.
Chief Minister Condemns Hub Blast
Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has strongly rebuked the attack. In his statement, the CM has ordered police to submit a report and arrest those responsible for the attack.
It is pertinent to mention here that Balochistan has been under the grip of bomb explosions and targeted killings for more than two decades.
