Trillions Of Dollars Flowing Out From Developing Countries: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that lifting people out of poverty is the priority of the government by creating a system to deliver direct subsidies to the poor.
Addressing the launch of UNDP Pakistan’s report on human development, the Prime Minister said that in my view, society is known for caring for the weaker class.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that trillions of dollars are transferred abroad from poor countries through money laundering. On the other hand, some rich people became richer during the Coronavirus pandemic.
“When the currency is volatile, it affects the whole economy,” he said. The sugar mafia is very strong in our country. Sugar mills worked together to increase sugar prices through speculation. For the first time in the history of the country, action is being taken against the sugar mafia.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that when we got the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the province was very much affected by terrorism.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken other important steps, including poverty alleviation. Now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on par with Punjab in the race for development.
The Prime Minister said that he would personally review the recommendations of the UNDP report. The Coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the services sector in Pakistan.
