Quzhou: Chinese TikTok star, Xiao Qiumei died after collapsing from a 160-foot crane while video recording in Quzhou, China.

Xiao who was 23 years old and worked professionally as a crane operator, was apparently filming a Livestream video within a crane cabin before falling to her death.

According to a Private newspaper, witnesses saw Xiao tumble to the ground with her phone still in her hand on June 20 at around 5:40 p.m. when the staff and her co-workers went left from work.

The phone was “still in her hand while she crashed to the ground,” a Private newspaper reported.

After a few minutes, the camera suddenly drops down and cuts to blurry footage of the crane equipment.

Whereas her family verified her death, saying that she fell because of a misstep and not because of an internet show.

Xiao had more than 100,000 followers on the platform, Xiao Qiumei was one of the most prevalent content creators and TikTok artists in China.

She went by the username @Xiaoquimei in the Chinese version of TikTok known as Douyin. A mother of two, she regularly shared videos of her daily life and profession with her followers.

Her dance videos also were a massive hit on the platform. The devastating news has left her fans traumatized who are grieving her death and cascading condolences.
