Honor is all set to launch the Magic3 smartphone on August 12. The device is said to be the first smartphone from Honor that will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ chipset.

And according to the video posted on Weibo, the phone will feature dual selfie cameras in a pill-shaped punch hole.

The 20-second clip is an advertisement that is currently airing on one of China’s state television networks, CCTV5, in favor of Chinese athletes competing in the Tokyo Olympics. The phone is only visible from the front, with a power button and volume rocker on the right side, as well as a 2.5D curved glass on top of the OLED panel.

Honor likely learned this technology from Huawei’s P40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro series, as there is some space between the two camera lenses, implying a ToF 3D sensor for facial recognition and superior selfie cameras. After all, they’re no longer dependent on one other and aren’t even stealing ideas from one another.
