ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Saturday released 249,100 cusecs of water from various rim stations with the inflow of 346,300 cusecs, according to the data released by the authority.

The water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1,490.58 feet, which was 106.58 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded at 194,900 cusecs and 135,000 cusecs, respectively.

The water level in the River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was 1,177.70 feet, which was 139.70 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet, whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded at 47,300 cusecs and 10,000 cusecs, respectively.

Likewise, the release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded at 163,200 cusecs, 189,100 cusecs and 62,000 cusecs, respectively.

Similarly, from the River Kabul a total of 52,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 23,700 cusecs was released from the River Chenab at Marala.
