Commissioner and CCPO Lahore visit female TikToker

On Thursday, Ghulam Muhammad Dogar, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), and Commissioner Lahore Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman paid a visit to the female TikToker who was assaulted and harassed at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14, according to sources.

They visited the victim and her mother at their home and told them that justice would be served throughout the incident. After being saved from a crowd of almost 400 people, the woman expressed gratitude to the Dolphin team that rescued her, saying that they gave her a second chance at life.

“They saved my life and pulled me out from the crowd,” the TikToker said.

CCPO Lahore stated that she was the daughter of the entire nation and that they would guarantee protecting women and given equal rights.

“It is our responsibility to ensure equal rights to women,” he said.

The CCPO further stated that the entire case will be investigated by a team led by DIG Investigation and SP Security Lahore, with SP CRO as a member.

“We will bring the suspects to justice,” he said adding that an immediate probe in cooperation with NADRA is ongoing to identify suspects.

He went on to say that an immediate investigation is underway in collaboration with NADRA to identify perpetrators.

Tiktok star Ayesha Akram was filming videos for her TikTok account with her group of friends at Lahore’s Greater Iqbal Park near Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day when this incident took place and the girl was sexually harassed, groped, and stripped by 300-400 men, who went as far as to tear her clothes while passing her around between each other.
