Consulate General of Indonesia celebrates 76th Independence Day in Karachi
Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi hosted a flag hoisting ceremony in commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday, a statement said.
The ceremony was held with the limited participants, which adhere to strict health protocols regarding the Covid-19, it added.
With all the challenges and limitations posed by the pandemic, the spirit of independence stays on with the people of Indonesia around the world in these tough times.
The ceremony was led by Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia Dr June Kuncoro Hadiningrat as the inspector, and supported by flag hoisters from the Indonesian students in Karachi.
The programme was attended by all the members of the Indonesian Consulate, as well as representatives of the Indonesian diaspora in Sindh.
The Consulate also provided live streaming for publics who wished to participate virtually.
In addition, the Independence Day celebration of the Republic of Indonesia also hosted several other programmes, games and competitions participated by the Indonesian public, as well as a virtual closing ceremony “Panggung Gembira”.
