Facebook users in the United States may see Reels, according to media, Instagram’s take on TikTok-like short-form movies, appear throughout the company’s main app. If Facebook accepts you into the test, you’ll notice the clips in your News Feed and Groups. The project is an extension of one that Facebook is already doing in Canada, India, and Mexico.

You may record Reels directly from the Facebook app, in addition to watching them on the platform. Instagram users can also cross-post the films to Facebook, much like they can with Stories.

Whatever you think of them, it’s safe to assume that short-form videos are here to stay, and Facebook isn’t the only corporation looking to include the format into its main app. Just last month, YouTube made Shorts creation tools available to users in 100 countries and began paying out creators from a $100 million fund set up to support the format.
