QUETTA: President Dr Arif Alvi shared on Tuesday that the government is following a policy of consultation in its decision-making.

“The present government believes in policy-making after consulting all stakeholders,” said President Alvi while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Green Tractor Scheme in Quetta. He added that the incumbent government has put the country and provinces on the path of swift progress.

Speaking about the scheme, President Alvi said that it will benefit the farmers of Balochistan. He added that the modernisation of agriculture and livestock sectors is inevitable for the progress and prosperity of the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the scheme will provide 1,000 tractors to the farmers of Balochistan on subsidised rates.

The president arrived in Quetta today for a two-day trip to the provincial capital.

Upon his arrival, the president was received by Balochistan Governor Zahoor Agha and Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan.

As per the expected schedule of the president, he is expected to hold a meeting with the provincial cabinet and also visit Noori Naseer Khan Culture Complex where he would inaugurate the Green Tractor Scheme.

President Alvi would also participate in the All Pakistan Chief Minister Diamond Jubilee Quetta Gladiator Women’s League 2021.

Later, he would distribute prizes among the players.
