Imran Khan rejects to move to the PM House
Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected to move to the PM House, his official residence, and would continue to carry out his duties from his own residence in Islamabad.
According to details by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan, the prime minister was asked to fulfil his official duties at the Prime Minister House.
After detailed deliberation, he refused to move to the Prime Minister’s House.
“He is the first prime minister who is living at his home at his own expense during his tenure as the premier,” Babar Awan said.
He stated that the issue was brought up during the most recent cabinet meeting, and that several ministers requested that Imran Khan relocate to the Prime Minister House for various reasons.
Imran Khan, on the other hand, has rejected and is living in his home without fear, according to Awan.
According to a report released on June 13 this year, the premier’s austerity effort helped save Rs 108 million in PM House during three years of his tenure from 2018-21.
