In Karachi, Shehbaz pays condolence visits

Shehbaz Sharif Accuses Government Of Manipulating Revenue figures

LAHORE. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif – who is on a three-day visit to Karachi – paid on Saturday condolence visits to the families of a number of deceased politicians including former president and PML-N stalwart Mamnoon Hussain and Sindh former governor Mumtaz Bhutto.

Meeting Hussain’s sons at their residence, Shehbaz noted that the former president was a valuable asset of the party and that his services for the party and democracy would be remembered for centuries to come. “Hussain was a straightforward, ideological and knowledgeable personality,” he said.

Shehbaz also went to the residence of Mumtaz Bhutto’s son Amir Bakhsh Bhutto and extended his condolences to him and other members of their family. He paid tribute to the late governor and said he played a key role in Sindh’s politics and was a part of many important events of history.

The PML-N president, who is also the National Assembly leader of opposition, also went to the residence of Jalal Mahmood Shah, son of Sindh’s senior nationalist leader GM Syed to express his grief over the demise of Jala’s brother Amir Haider Shah.

Shehbaz said Amir Haider Shah was the descendant of an important and active political family of Sindh which worked for the rights of the people and that of the province of Sindh.

The PML-N president also went to the Kingri House and met with the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Syed Sibghatullah Shah aka Pir Pagara.

He extended his condolences to him and his brother Syed Sadruddin Shah over the demise of their mother. He also expressed his grief over the death of Pir Pagara’s wife. Pir Pagara’s son Syed Rashid Shah and other leaders of the PML-N were also present.

Shehbaz said he had lost his mother too and could relate to the pain and grief of the family. He said the Pagara family, their ancestors and their Hurs (followers) played an unforgettable role against the autocracy. He paid tribute to them for their services and sacrifices for Pakistan.
