Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) will observe Black Day on Thursday and protest against India against the illegal move of the extremist BJP government of India to end the special status of occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019.

Kashmiris living in Pakistan and around the world will rally against Indian state terrorism, show solidarity with Kashmiris and support their right to self-determination.

Thousands of people were arrested and jailed in Occupied Kashmir after the Indian government’s illegal move on August 5, 2019.

The entire leadership of the Hurriyat Conference and freedom fighters were jailed in bogus cases.

Kashmiris will protest and observe strike in the occupied territories.

India has arrested hundreds of Hurriyat leaders and freedom fighters under the guise of new measures, while thousands of people in the occupied territories are facing trial under black laws.

The Hurriyat Conference has announced a strike on the occasion.

Hurriyat Conference leaders Sheikh Abdul Matin, Hassan Al-Banna and Zahid Safi while talking to the national news agency Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said that Kashmiri people have made immense sacrifices for the right to self-determination.

They said that the unconstitutional move of the Indian government on August 5, 2019, was aimed at reducing the proportion of Muslims in occupied Kashmir and was part of a nefarious conspiracy to resettle Indians.

Sheikh Abdul Matin said that the United Nations and other international bodies should play their role in giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination. He said that the Kashmiri people should be given a chance to decide their future in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council.

Hurriyat Conference leader Hassan al-Banna said that Pakistan has always supported the right of Kashmiris to self-determination while the aggressive policies and actions of the present rulers of India, especially Modi, have posed a serious threat to the region. He said that despite state terrorism in India, the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle till the end. The move is part of a vicious conspiracy to reduce the Muslim population and resettle Indians in the occupied territories.

Talking to the national news agency, Zahid Safi, a senior leader of the Hurriyat Conference, said that the Kashmiri people have made tremendous sacrifices for the right to self-determination and they will continue to do so till the end of India’s illegal military occupation of occupied Kashmir despite Indian atrocities adding that Kashmiris will continue their just struggle.

He said that under the guise of this move, India tortured Kashmiris, especially the youth, and despite the presence of 800,000 troops, sent thousands of more troops to occupied Kashmir. He said that India was following the policy of Hindutva in Kashmir and for this, the Indian rulers had repealed Articles 370 and 35A of the Constitution.

He said that despite all the atrocities committed by India, the Kashmiri people would continue their struggle for self-determination. The Hurriyat leaders said that other international bodies, including the United Nations, should play their effective and positive role in giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination.

The Kashmiri people should be given a chance to decide their future in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council. He said that the unconstitutional move of the Indian government on August 5, 2019, was aimed at reducing the proportion of the Muslim population in occupied Kashmir.

He said that India was massacring the youth in the occupied territories and was blinding the people. After August 5, 2019, a large number of youth and Hurriyat leaders were imprisoned and fictitious cases were filed against them.

Zahid Safi said that despite Indian state terrorism, the Kashmiri people would continue their struggle based on their rights. He said that the Kashmiri people reject the steps of the sectarian Bharatiya Janata Party of India and they protested on August 5 against the illegal move to end the special status of Occupied Kashmir, continuous human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and Indian domination.
