Windows 11 Incompatible with Your Device; Here is How to Fix it
Windows 11 was introduced with stricter requirements than Windows 10. This means...
Microsoft will not block you with an unsupported PC to install Windows 11 as long as you are installing it using an ISO file manually. However, there will be a drawback to do so.
The tech giant has said that they will withhold future updates to Windows 11, even the security updates will not be provided along with driver updates.
This might be a critical measure on Microsoft’s side. It is hard to believe that Microsoft will not be provided any critical security patches when it has been seen that the company has provided the latest patches for quite some time even after it has ended the development of the software.
However, it is possible and may be true to some extent that Microsoft will be planning to halt the updates in the future. The company has not further clarified its statement, which can be taken as a clear threat.
This means that if you would like to install the latest Windows 11 on your aging PC or laptop, you will have to install device drivers manually. In the case of Windows 10, it installs the necessary drivers as soon as it detects that whether the driver is missing or there is a new update to it.
If you are not worried about getting feature updates as Windows 10 does, then you can simply download and install the next latest ISO available. However, you will have to format the data every time, so make sure to back it up somewhere safe.
Though Microsoft could change its mind and rethink the system requirements in the future.
