JEDDAH: The Saudi National Event Center of the Saudi Tourism Authority and the General Entertainment Authority organised an excellent event on “Pakistan Night” in Jeddah.

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in a video message mentioned the love and long-lasting strong ties between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Around 5,000 Pakistanis, including children and women, attended the event from Jeddah, Makkah, and Medina. Local artists performed the national anthem and national songs on which hundreds of Pakistanis danced and enthusiastically waved the Pakistani flags.

Various stalls were set up at the Pakistan Night for puppet shows, food and Pakistani culture.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Khalid Majid said: “We are grateful to the Saudi Tourism, National Event Center, General Entertainment Authority and Noushin Wasim for organising the Pakistani Night, especially to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

The event reflects the ties of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He also said the Pakistani community, media, and other fora have played an important role in making this event a success. He also thanked the Pakistani community without whom such a successful event was not possible.

At the event, Saudi Entertainment Authority spokesman Syed Noshin Ahmed also thanked the media and the Pakistani community for making the event a success.

Waving the Pakistani national flags in a colourful ceremony, the community expressed solidarity with Pakistan.
