Punjab Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) banned TikTokers and YouTubers
The Punjab Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) banned TikTokers and YouTubers from visiting parks on Sunday, following the unfortunate event at Minar-e-Pakistan in which 400 men grabbed and publicly abused numerous women.
The decision was reached during a meeting of PHA officials in Lahore.
According to a PHA statement, all Tiktokers must obtain authorization from the relevant PHAs before entering parks.
However, the government has stated that people will only be permitted to access the parks with their families, and students in uniform will not be permitted to attend.
According to details, after the incidents of harassment of women in various public parks of Lahore came to light on August 14, the Punjab government has decided to ban the entry of tik tokers in all the parks of the province.
As per the media reports, under the ban, YouTubers and tik tokers will not be able to come to the parks and make any kind of videos, only national media will be allowed to make videos in public parks.
It was further stated that prior permission has to be obtained for making videos for social media, security personnel stationed in the parks will keep an eye on tik tokers and YouTubers.
