United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made PCR testing compulsory for persons traveling to Dubai from Pakistan and some other South Asian countries.

On the contrary, UAE has lifted restrictions on passengers from Pakistan, India, Nigeria, and other countries from August 5.

The passengers from these terminuses would transit through UAE airports as long as they extant negative rapid PCR tests taken 72 hours preceding a departure, stated The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA).

Previously the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) had written to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the deficiency of capacity at airports and asked it to state to UAE establishments to reexamine this situation.
