Sheikh Rasheed claims Indian media spreading lies about Pak-Afghan border condition
Indian media is dispersing lies about the condition at the Pak-Afghan border, stated Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed while addressing a press conference.
Sheikh Rasheed precluded the Indian propaganda, saying there is comprehensive peace and serenity at the borders of Torkham and Chaman.
He conserved that the border intersections with Afghanistan are open for movement, trade, and transit visa facilities.
“Interior Ministry offices are open 24 hours a day,” stated Rasheed.
He also added that “Immigration and FIA officials, besides others, are present at all airports and borders.”
Whereas while talking about the Pakistani nationals, he said that the government will evacuate them from Afghanistan within two days.
613 Pakistanis since August 14 have been transported back from Afghanistan, said Rasheed.
Minister mentioned that the process of evacuation mission will be completed by Friday.
The interior minister added that three buses with over 100 Pakistanis, comprising women and children, onboard were cleared early this morning at the Torkham border.
Pakistan has evacuated around 900 foreign officials and diplomats from Afghanistan, Rasheed mentioned while addressing the press conference.
He also added that the interior ministry has established a special cell that is operational 24 hours.
The interior minister said the immigration officials have been instructed to deliver visas on arrival to diplomats and foreign media.
“No Afghan refugees are coming to Pakistan. We are giving transit visas to all diplomats, media, and staff of other institutions,” he said.
Whereas the interior minister said that neither Pakistan will interfere in Afghanistan nor will it allow anyone in Pakistan answering to the question.
Furthermore, the interior minister expressed the assurance that the condition will recover in Afghanistan.
