The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has declared distinct strategies for protection against the widespread COVID-19 throughout Muharram 2021.

The strategies have been delivered understanding the religious importance and numerous safety announcements have been made by the ulema, stated NCOC.

All majalis (congregations) and juloos (parades) will be held in harmony with the government-obligatory Covid-19 safety procedures, NCOC.

During all the majalis and juloos, all the members must safeguard and follow proper SOPs instructed by the government.

The use of thermal screening devices will be made mandatory to check the body temperatures of members before permitting them entry.

The facility of hand sanitizers and masks to those without any, should also be guaranteed.

All congregations must take place in large areas with proper ventilation, further adding that private meetings at homes are prohibited.

The management may benefit from the facilities of Razakars for the implementation of coronavirus security procedures, NCOC.

NCOC has instructed the use of SOPs  in clearly visible places during the majalis sites and juloos ways.

On the contrary, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee sighted the Muharram-ul-Haram moon, which marks the new Islamic year, 1443 AH.

Accordingly, the first of Muharram instigate today. The 9th of Muharram will occur on Wednesday, August 18, and Youm-e-Ashura which 10th of Muharram will occur on August 19.
