The Tesla humanoid robot will be programmed to do dangerous and monotonous activities for people.

Elon Musk revealed during the automaker’s AI Day event that Tesla is constructing a humanoid robot simply named the Tesla Bot. It’s designed to be nice, as well as sluggish and weak enough so you can outrun and overpower it if a robot uprising occurs in the future.

The Tesla Bot will be powered by an artificial intelligence system, similar to the company’s autopilot technology. It will be programmed to perform a variety of dangerous and repetitive duties for people, as well as navigate our world without the need for step-by-step instructions.

Musk stated that it should be able to respond to simple commands such as “Please pick up that bolt and attach it to the automobile using that wrench.” It should also be able to acquire groceries and do other menial jobs for the owners.

While Musk merely showed an image of the robot during the event, the business already has a good idea of how it would look. It will be 5’8″ tall and weigh 125 pounds, thanks to the utilization of lightweight materials for its body, and will have a screen for a face that may show vital information.

The machine will be capable of moving at a top speed of 5mph, which is somewhat quicker than the normal human walking speed, and will be able to carry weights weighing up to 45 pounds.

Musk stated that the business intends to have a prototype of the Tesla Bot ready by next year, however, delays are to be expected with such ambitious initiatives.
