US Senator Lindsey Graham on Saturday called on the inclusion of Pakistan for any “sustainable solution in Afghanistan”.
Taking to Twitter, Graham said he was briefed by Pakistani envoy Asad Khan about the situation in Afghanistan.
“Very much appreciate the efforts of the Pakistani government to assist with the evacuation of US citizens, our allies, and other nations. Any sustainable solution in Afghanistan must include Pakistan,” said the Republican senator.

We all must remember Pakistan is a nuclear-armed nation, and there is a Pakistan version of the Taliban who wishes topple the Pakistani government and military.

The senator, who represents the US state of South Carolina, reminded everyone to remember that Pakistan is a nuclear-armed nation and that the Pakistani Taliban wish to topple the government and military in Islamabad.
“Very complicated region and dangerous times,” said the senator.
Soon after the tweet, Ambassador Asad also confirmed that he had spoken with the senator about the evolving situation in Afghanistan.
