India cancelled their training sessions ahead of their fifth Test match against England, as another member tested positive for Covid-19.

Before this, India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri, bowling coach, Bharat Arun, and fielding coach, Ramakrishnan Sridhar have been tested positive for Covid-19 and ruled out of the final which is going to be held in Manchester.

India beat England by 157 runs in the fourth Test at the Oval, which bring India to 2-1 with the final and the last Test to be played.

BCCI president and former India skipper, Sourav Ganguly said, “We don’t know if the match will happen at the moment.

“Hopefully we can get some game,” he added at the book launch of ‘Mission Domination’ in Kolkata, according to Indian media.

Meanwhile, England’s Jos Buttler said, “We don’t know too much about it at the moment,”

“It would be naive to speculate on what’s going on. At the moment we’re fully expecting the game to go ahead and we’re preparing that way.”

Asked if England would be undergoing additional virus tests, Jos replied, “No, all’s well in our camp. We trained well this morning and we’re looking forward to the game tomorrow.”
