IPL 2021: England players withdraw from the remaining matches

England’s players have withdrawn from the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 matches that were starting from 19th September at United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As per the details, Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, and Chris Woakes have withdrawn from IPL due to the fear of Covid-19, as the Test match between India and England was called off at Old Trafford Test.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) faced a loss of £31 million after the cancellation of the Test match.

Previously, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Jofra Archer had already withdrawn from the remaining matches of the IPL.

Later England will tour Pakistan to play two T20 on 13th and 14th October before the T20 World Cup.

The T20 World Cup will start from 17th October with qualifiers followed by the Super 12 contest from 23rd October.
