New Zealand fast bowler, Matt Henry is looking forward to seeing the excited Pakistani crowd at their home ground.

In a virtual press conference, Matt recalled his memories from ICC World Cup 2019 at Edgbaston where he saw the excited Pakistani crowd.

Matt said, “I saw enthusiastic Pakistani crowd back from our World Cup contest against them at Edgbaston. They were amazingly cheering for their team and that really makes me excited to see them at their home ground,”

While talking about Pakistani Desi food, Matt Henry said they received a lot of recommendations but it’s not too long since they have been in Pakistan.

He said, “We just touched down here a day ago. We have a lot of recommendations about local food but haven’t tasted any of them so far. But, we will try them for sure,”

Matt is confident that his team will show good performance after having a poor Bangladesh tour.

He said, “Our players gained experience in Bangladesh. The conditions in the subcontinent are mostly the same so we will try to implement here whatever we have,”

“Yes, conditions here are a bit different. Batters here get some space to score runs and obviously, bowlers also get enough chances. Pakistan is a strong side and we are looking forward to facing them strongly,”

Pakistan and New Zealand will play three ODIs on 17th, 19th, and 21st September at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

However, these ODIs are not a part of ICC Cricket World Cup Super League fixtures as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) failed to arrange the DRS system.
