PM Imran Khan chaired a meeting of Apex Committee of National Action Plan

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the Apex Committee of the National Action Plan (NAP) in Islamabad today. It was decided in the meeting to take immediate steps to control violence and extremism within the state.

According to the statement, the meeting studied the current state in Afghanistan and its possible consequences for the country.

The committee also revised the interior situation of the country, including the short, medium, and long-term goals of the National Action Plan.

The meeting decided to take instant action to tackle cyber security, espionage, and security challenges.

It was also decided in the meeting also decided to take immediate action on judicial and civil reform measures.

According to the statement, the meeting has decided to form performance criteria and timelines for each target, set up a National Crisis Information Management Cell, with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Information overseeing the Crisis Management Cell.

It was decided to take instant action on measures to battle violence and extremism, while procedures to address factors directly affecting national security have also been decided.

To ensure the security of foreigners working on C-Pack and non-C-Pack, foolproof security of C-Pack especially Chinese residents will be guaranteed.

According to the statement, all possible steps will be taken to guarantee internal security and the offenders will be dealt with iron fists.

Furthermore, The Prime Minister paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, Police, and Intelligence Agencies.
