Shoaib Akhtar: ‘Misbah-ul-Haq & Waqar Younis exposed themselves’
Former Pakistani fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar criticized Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis for destroying Pakistan’s cricket and leaving their jobs before T20 World Cup.
Shoaib Akhtar said in an interview that Misbah and Waqar should have waited for Ramiz to continue as Chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and would have seen what happens then.
He said, “This is the same thing that the Taliban did with the American forces. I don’t think they had any need to do this, I would call this running away.”
“They both exposed themselves with their decision. They should have discussed their concerns with Ramiz Raja — who has emerged as the leading contender to take over as the PCB chairman — and tried their best till the end of the 2021 T20 World Cup,” he added.
“You could have only expected this from them and they had to do this. It was not an unusual thing for me that Misbah resigned, I know what kind of person he is,” he concluded.
