Unisame praises PM for pursuing SME Policy

KARACHI: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for constantly pursuing the matter of finalisation of the SME Policy, a statement said.

In pursuance of the prime minister’s directives the Ministry of Industries and Production invited key stakeholders for a final review of the SME Policy and decided to complete the same by giving it final touches and submit it to the prime minister for approval.

Federal Minister for Industries and Production Khusro Bakhtiar will soon preside over a meeting with the participation of all the provincial heads and chief executive officers (CEOs) of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda), Unisame and senior officials of other ministries.

The meeting was actually scheduled for September 2, 2021 but was deferred to a later date due to the urgent matter of price control, which came up on the same date.
