KARACHI: Over 10,000 buyers visited the 35th Lifestyle Furniture Exhibition on the first day and bought goods from a long range of products, while an even larger number of buyers visited the exhibition on the second day, a statement said on Saturday.

People took advantage of the discount deals offered by popular brands and bought stylish designs of furniture and mattresses, etc.

Commonwealth Society chairman, Honorary Consul General of Yemen and chairman of the Pak-America Business Council Dr Mirza Ikhtyar Baig visited the expo on Saturday.

“[The] Lifestyle Furniture Exhibition has developed itself as an esteemed trade event in the country. A unique exhibition, offering discounted deals within six months of the second Covid wave, is a blessing for the people.”

He also appreciated the efforts of the exhibition organisers, Faisal Mohsin and Zara Faisal, in the promotion of the local furniture industry.

Dr Baig said that the government should activate the commercial attachments abroad for the promotion of non-traditional export goods with a particular focus on African markets, which could be the launch-pad for Pakistani furniture and other non-traditional goods.

Director Pakistan Lifestyle Furniture Exhibition Zara Faisal said that the number of visitors in the first two days of the event exceeded the expectations. “The turnout will definitely surpass the foot-tall target.”
