BEIJING: China’s power generation stood at 675.1 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in September, up 4.9 per cent on a year-on-year basis, the National Bureau of Statistics data showed on Monday.
The growth rate was 4.7 percentage points faster than the previous month. The September power generation was 10.5 per cent higher, compared with the corresponding period of 2019.
In the first nine months, China’s power generation stood at 6.0721 trillion KWh, up 10.7 per cent on a year-on-year basis and 11.6 per cent higher than the same period in 2019.
In terms of categories, the growth rate of thermal and wind power generation accelerated in September, while nuclear and solar power generation slowed down in September.
