In time for Halloween, the Los Angeles home from the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street has been advertised for sale for $3.5 million.
The three-bedroom Spaulding Square home, which is offered by real estate firm Douglas Elliman, was previously purchased by Hustlers director Lorene Scafaria for $2.1 million in 2013.
In Wes Craven’s legendary slasher flick, the two-story house served as heroine Nancy Thompson’s home and the site of the character’s climactic encounter with iconic serial killer Freddy Krueger.
Listing agent Learka Bosnak told the media, “It’s so much fun bringing this house to market during a historic real estate inventory shortage.”
“Buyers are worn out. They’ve been looking for a great house, one with enough bedrooms and en suite bathrooms and space to work from home. And here it is, and it’s beautiful, and it’s ready to buy, and it has this incredibly fun movie history,” she added.
According to Heather T. Roy, Bosnak’s listing agent partner, the house’s attractiveness is based on more than its film heritage.
