LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in the walled city on Friday and exchanged views over important national and provincial matters.
During the meeting, CM Buzdar briefed the premier about the upcoming local government system in the province and the steps taken by the Punjab government for providing relief to the general public.
PM Imran also got a detailed report about the ongoing development projects in Punjab. Buzdar told him what measures the Punjab government was taking to curb inflation in the province.
“In Punjab, the focus of the provincial government remains on providing relief to the general public,” CM Buzdar told PM. He claimed that “development projects across the province are in full swing.”

Reiterating the aim of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was to support the weaker sections of society through various programs, PM Imran instructed CM Buzdar to mobilize the institutions and provide relief to masses.
Earlier, Governor Punjab Chaudhary Sarwar also called on the premier and discussed administrative and political issues of the province.
Later, talking to the media in Lahore, the governor said that PM Imran approved to be a sub-campus of Agriculture University Faisalabad in Toba Tek Singh a proper university. The premier also issued instructions to officials of the Punjab government for the provision of funds for the university, he added.
