Pakistan will be departing for the United Arab Emirates on October 15 to take part in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The national team has started their training sessions at the National High Performance Center, Lahore.

Pakistan is scheduled to play two warm-up matches as a part of the T20 World Cup. The national team will go against the number 1 team in the T20 cricket England on October 18 at 07:00 pm PST. The second warm-up match will be against the defending champions West Indies on October 20 at 03:00 pm PST.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will kick off on October 17 with Round One matches. The Super12 matches will begin from October 23 with the final to be played on November 17.

Green Shirts are in Group 2 of the Super12 with New Zealand, Afghanistan, the runner-up from Group B, and the winner from Group A of Round One.

Pakistan will start its tournament with the first match against their arch-rivals India on October 24 at Dubai International Stadium.

PCB makes important changes to the squad

After evaluating the performance of the former members of the T20 World Cup squad, the Pakistan Cricket Board took the necessary decisions to change the squad.

Shoaib Malik was added to the 15-man squad replacing Shoaib Maqsood amid a back injury.

Sarfaraz and Haider have replaced Azam Khan and Mohammad Hasnain respectively, while Fakhar Zaman, who was originally named as a travel reserve, has swapped places with Khushdil Shah.
