Rassie Van Der Dussen hit an unbeaten 101 off 51 helped South Africa to beat Pakistan by six wickets in the Warm-Up Match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan scored 186 for the loss of 6 wickets and gave the target of 187 to South Africa. Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman scored an impressive 52 off 28 which helped Pakistan to build a huge total.

Before getting bowled Fakhar added a crucial stand with veteran Shoaib Malik who scored 23 off 20 to help the team fight back from a poor start. Asif Ali hit 32 off 18 on blistering knock.

For the Proteas, Kagiso Rabada claimed three wickets, while Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje took one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan had defeated the West Indies by seven wickets in their first warm-up match.

While chasing an imposing target of 187, South Africa lost both the openers in the third over to Imad Wasim. After that Van Der Dussen revived the chase with captain Temva Bavuma who hit 46 off 42 which helped his team to chase a giant total.

Pakistan will face its arch-rivals India in a super 12, group 2 match on 24th October in Dubai.
