KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan had once again declined by Rs2, 000 per tola in Pakistan on Saturday.

The prices in the local market logged a reduction of Rs2,400 per tola and Rs2,058 per 10 grams to settle down at Rs122,800 per tola and Rs105,281 per 10 grams.

According to All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the prices retroceded $26 per ounce to around $1,787 in the international market.

The detection of the new variant has alarmed the authorities globally, EU and Britain have tightened border controls as researchers required to launch if the alteration was vaccine-resistant, and the situation had generated a selloff through the international markets.

For the moment, silver prices in the domestic market continued unaffected at Rs1,460 per tola and Rs1,251.71 per 10 grams.
