KARACHI: An Indonesia-Pakistan Portal has been developed to felicitate businesses of the two countries, a diplomat said.

Consul General of Republic of Indonesia Dr June Kuncoro Hadiningrat has said that an interaction between the youth and young entrepreneurs of both countries is very important.

He stressed the need for inducting students as interns by the business communities as a way to increase people-to-people contact. Moreover, he expressed the desire to learn from Pakistan’s IT companies.

Saud Mahmood, senir vice president of the SAI, Muhammad Kamran Arbi, VP, Majyd Aziz former chairman, Abdul Hadi, Abdul Kadir Bilwani, Riaz Dhedhi, Khalid Riaz, Naveed Wahid, Azeem Motiwala, Muhammad Hussain Moosani and others attended the meeting.

Earlier, SAI president Abdul Rasheed welcomed the chief guest and his colleagues to the association and presented a brief introduction of the Site area. Senior member and former chairman of Site, Majyd Aziz, suggested to find new avenues of exports in the marble sector.

Later, the Consul General visited the Site Crime Monitoring Cell, fire tenders and ambulance facility all being provided under the banner of SAI.

Immediate past president and chairman of the Law and Order Committee, Abdul Hadi, briefed the consul general about the working of the cell and the efforts made to provide best possible services to the SAI members. The consul general appreciated the working of the cell.

The Indonesian delegation has visited the site on the invitation of the Site Association of Industry (SAI) president Abdul Rasheed.

Djumara Supryadi, consul of economic affairs and other officials of his office were also present on the occasion.
