LAHORE: The youth wing of Jamaat e Islami (JI) has threatened to hold rallies all over Islamabad, if their ‘Unemployment March’ was stopped from reaching the D-chowk.

JI Information Secretary Qaiser Shareef said the JI youth would hold a historical ‘Unemployment March’, which would culminate at D-chowk. At the end of the march, JI chief Siraj ul Haq would address the public gathering.

The JI information secretary said his party condemned the Islamabad administration for placing obstacles on their way. “Organising a rally and protest is every party’s democratic right,” he said.

He said if the administration did not change its behavior, then they would announce to stage a protest before the march. “If the ‘Unemployment March’ is stopped, the whole city of Islamabad will become a place of public gathering,” he said.

Qaiser Shareef said everyone was fed up with the inflation, unemployment and incompetence of the rulers. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement comprised only announcements, U-turns and new claims.

On November 25, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif had said the smog of incompetency, inefficiency, corruption and inflation had engulfed the entire country for the last three years.
