NCOC asks people to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19
ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has asked the people to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
In a tweet, the NCOC also urged the people to observe the standard operating procedures to prevent spread of the virus.
“Due to emergence of new variant ‘Omicron’ in various countries, it is imperative to follow SOPs seriously. Please ensure that your vaccination is complete (both doses in case of two dose vaccine), wear mask and isolate yourself / get tested in case of any symptoms! Stay Safe!!!” the NCOC tweeted.

The government has already issued notification regarding travel ban for six African countries and Hong Kong with immediate effect.
Five more deaths have been reported on Sunday because of Coronavirus infection across Pakistan.

According to the statistics issued by the NCOC, 36,979 tests were conducted on Saturday out of which 303 cases came positive. The positivity ratio remained 0.81 per cent. 946 patients of Coronavirus are still in critical care.
On November 27, Head of the National Command and Operation Centre Asad Umar had announced that Pakistan had restricted travel from six African countries and Hong Kong over the emergence of the new coronavirus variant.
“Based on the emergence of the new Covid variant, notification has been issued [to] restrict travel from six South African countries and Hong Kon,” Asad Umar had tweeted.
The federal planning minister had said that it was now more important to get Pakistanis over the age of 12 vaccinated against coronavirus after “the emergence of the new variant”.
