A tiger was witnessed crossing the road in Telangana’s Khammam district, according to a video published on Twitter by the Forests and Wildlife Protection Society. As the human-animal conflict continues to make headlines, FAWPS has advocated for the creation of a safer environment for tigers.
The predator emerged from the darkness, and a passing vehicle shone its headlights as the animal stepped onto the paved road. The tiger gazed about for a few seconds before focusing on the car.
It eventually crossed the road. On the opposite side of the road, another animal appeared to be dead. The car continued along slowly after the tiger vanished into the field.
According to the tweet of Forests and Wildlife Protection Society, “A Tiger shows up in Khammam district of Telangana state. #Telangana need to create a safer space for Tigers in North Telangana’s Tiger Corridors and zones especially!”

While commenting on the tweet, some users expressed concern about the human-animal conflict, while others were taken aback by the sight of the enormous cat.
The image was retweeted by actor Randeep Hooda, who is constantly captivated by cats. Balu Pulipaka, a Twitter user, encouraged the State Forest Department to be more vigilant.

Conflicts between humans and wild animals are becoming more common in Telangana. The Telangana government formed a 10-member committee in March 2021 to suggest strategies to reduce human-animal conflicts.
The group was founded after reports of cattle being slaughtered by wild creatures such as tigers and leopards, as well as agricultural damage and human habitations.
