Nigeria, Malawi, and Egypt have been added to Canada’s list of countries where travel is restricted in terms of the new Omicron version of COVID-19, increasing the number of nations affected by the ban to 10.

The three African countries were added to a list of seven announced by Ottawa in reaction to a new variant of the coronavirus having been detected in the region.

Foreign nationals who have visited any of those nations during the last 14 days are not allowed to enter Canada.
