JHANG: The assistant commissioner of Jhang, Imran Jaffer Warbho was on Sunday allegedly shot dead by a relative over enmity in Chiniot.
According to Bol news channel, the incident took place within limits of Langrana police station. Sources said Imran Jaffer had come to his hometown Bada Langrana in Chiniot district.
The victim had a dispute with his paternal uncle’s sons over a sewage drain. He was allegedly shot dead by his cousin Sohail Verbho and his accomplices.

The body has been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bhawana for medico-legal formalities. Huge contingent of police has arrived to hunt the suspect and launch an investigation into the case.
On December 1, the secretary of Sindh Bar Council and prominent lawyer, Irfan Mehr was shot dead by target killers in the Gulistan-e-Johar area.
According to preliminary investigation, the police had believed that the incident was a result of a targetted killing.

Prominent lawyer leader Naeem Qureshi and a large number of other lawyers had rushed to the spot and taken the injured to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police had said that the target killers fired several shots at Irfan and managed to escape without any resistance.
