Smog and fog continue to engulf many cities across the country. The intense air pollution crisis intensifies, particularly in the winter season when the burning of agricultural biomass residue correlates with cooler temperatures that confine toxic smoke.

The Punjab government has announced to take strict action against those who do not abide by steps taken by the government to curb smog.
