ISLAMABAD: The Standing Committee of National Assembly on Cabinet Secretariat has sought the details of recruitments made on Balochistan quota during last three years and decided to get the antecedents of recruited individuals verified by NADRA/

Discussing the question moved by MNA Agha Hasan Baloch on Wednesday regarding non-implementation of provincial quota of Balochistan, the committee observed that there was general impression that provincial quota was not implemented, creating deprivations among the youth of the province.

The committee decided to call Secretary Law and Justice Division in its next meeting to know the reasons behind delay in constitutional amendments regarding the extension of time period for provincial quotas.

Taking up a proposal for restructuring of Staff Welfare Organisation under Establishment Division, the committee observed that the organisation needs to be restructured on modern lines so that it could deliver service to the federal government employees in a better way.

The committee further observed that there was duplication of functions in various organisations related to the welfare of the federal government employees. The chairperson called for consolidation of all such welfare related activities under one organisation.
