Rangers, police arrest three robbers

Karachi: Rangers and police, in a joint operation, on the basis of intelligence information arrested three accused— Zohab Ali, Hasnain Ali and Yasirur Rehman alias Gopi—from Baloch Para, Jahangir Road and Jamshed Quarters of Jamshed Town area on Saturday.

Karachi: Rangers and police, in a joint operation, on the basis of intelligence information arrested three accused— Zohab Ali, Hasnain Ali and Yasirur Rehman alias Gopi—from Baloch Para, Jahangir Road and Jamshed Quarters of Jamshed Town area on Saturday.

Law enforcement agencies also seized government uniforms, fake identity cards, three snatched motorcycles and two 30-bore pistols from the possession of the accused.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed that they used to pick up civilians and drug dealers from different parts of Karachi in the guise of police and security personnel in the name of arrest and release them after receiving money.

The accused were organised robbers and were involved in stealing money and mobile phones from citizens. Raids are being carried out to arrest other accomplices of the accused.

The arrested suspects along with motorcycles, arms, ammunition and stolen goods have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
